Whey and Soy, working together

As I have been searching for pH level food for my mom, I realised at this moment a balanced (or neutral) pH level of food group or lightly alkaline can both help my mom's gout and gastric.

And looking into it, the word "Soy" and "Whey" came into the list as being in those categories. I even could see many health products, like some protein powder, stated "Soy and Whey" and not just one of them.

Why do they come together as a recommended protein team, and not just one of them first? I once heard that nutrition and gyms kept promoting Whey Protein - Ultimate for muscle building, yet now they put it as a combination with soy. Many of us would have wondered and concluded that overly "pure" protein is not ideal for natural balance health.

I did some research and some has said peskily about Whey Protein, a by-product of cheese and actually a "junk" marketed out by manufacturers who wants make full use of earning power.

Research (and some truths) about Whey
Whey is "educated to the public" to contain the perfect combination of muscle-building amino-acids (the building blocks of protein) and enhance the immune system. It has also shown a rapid utilization capacity, for maximum protein absorption by the muscles (making it perfect as a post-workout drink).

Compared to other forms of protein, Whey is thought to be superior, ideally positioned to render these other formulations obsolete. However, there is an alternative protein source considered to be equally as effective as whey: soy.

Good and "bad" of Soy
not high risk to cause gout.

Although soy protein may have many health benefits derived from its associated antioxidants, yet because of it's "feminizing" compound it became less popular among the body builders, stated that it is harder to gain muscle.

Therefore it is always to be balance and have the best of both worlds. The lastest research articles suggested combiding both whey and soy into the nutritional regimens, absorbing both side's benefit from their dfferent rates of digestion and amino acid absorbtion; with Whey protein digests more quickly, and soy protein digests more gradually. Together, they may provide a more prolonged, deliberate release of amino acids to key muscle groups.

Personal Note: However well the Proteins are, it is always best to keep your metabolism up with exercise and protein intake. Even the research did say that Soy and whey protein both promoted exercise training-induced lean body mass gain, just that soy protein manage to preserve the two aspects of antioxidant function.
